2016 on track to becoming hottest year in history

We all feel it, here in Costa Rica the days are hotter, hotter than a year ago and way hotter than five or ten years back. According to the National Meteorological Institute (IMN in Spanish) Costa Rica registered during 2015 between 1.1° and 2.3° C higher than the average registered temperatures; in December of 2015 San Jose registered a temperature of 30.8°C (87.44°F) breaking the record for this province which was 29°C (84.2F) back in 1952.
