Two Foreign Women Killed in Guanacaste Yesterday

By Wendy Anders “Romantic passions,” were deemed the underlying motive for two separate murders of women in the Santa Cruz region of Guanacaste yesterday in northwestern Costa Rica, as reported in Lo Primero en Noticias, a Guanacaste newspaper. The first took place around 5:30pm outside of the Megasuper in Villarreal, Santa Cruz, according to the local police. A Nicaraguan woman was stabbed three times in the back, and died immediately at the scene of the crime.
